Real Estate Closing Gifts
Finishing that sale on the home or property is a great feeling. However, you are not done yet! Before you can pull out the champagne glasses and make a toast, have you sent your new tenants or clients a real estate closing gift? My guesses are you haven't. And the best real estate closing gifts to give them is a New Home gift basket.
The typical gift of appreciation, is the infamous thank you note. Don't get me wrong there is nothing wrong with a little note of appreciation, but what will really set you apart, and guarantee a good word of mouth, is something else to go along with that note. So why not deliver a wonderful gift basket to their new home or apartment!
So Why Should you Go This extra step and send a gift along with your thank you note?
BECAUSE IT IS GUARANTEED TO MAKE YOUR CLIENT HAPPY!
A happy client, means a great referral to friends and associates. Which means more business for you along with a better success rate! Imagine how many new clients you will get if you sent a Real Estate Closing Gift with each transaction!
And don't forget about the other people involved in the closing of the house or property. Appraisers, lending institutions, closing lawyers, insurance agents, remodeling specialists, house cleaners, just to name a few, are also great people to send a closing gift basket too. How you interact with every person involved before and after the transaction will also help ensure repeat business! And what better way to do that than to send a gift basket as a final thank you for all their cooperation!
Without sending a real estate closing gift, you are missing out on a great opportunity to network through your clients. An opportunity no great property manager, or realtor would want to miss out on.
They say first impressions are everything, but don't forget about your final one! Leave a lasting impression by giving a gift that everyone will love, a New Home gift basket.Labels: house warming ideas, housewarming gifts, real estate closing gifts

Personal Gifts for New Home
A new home of your dreams is a very exciting time in anyone's life. After years of scrimping and saving, you finally have the house you've always imagined. If someone you know is going through this new house transition, just think about how completely thrilled they must be. Even if your friends are moving farther away from you which is a little depressing, take a moment to realize how this change will benefit your friends. And what better way to share in their happiness than to give your friends a personal gift for their new home!
In order to begin thinking about what your friends may need you must realize that a new home means lots of new changes, as they begin a new journey in life. If they decide to have a housewarming party, this would be the ideal time to present them with their gift.
Things to consider:
- How close is your relationship with the new home buyers?
- Are you wanting to make this a funny gift, practical, decorative, or something more formal?
- What is your budget?
After you've answered these three simple questions, you are ready to begin generating gift ideas. Assuming your relationship is more on a personal level, you should have a better understanding of the tastes of the recipient. In most cases, it is best not to buy a decorative gift for the new home owner, since you have no idea how they plan on decorating. But if you're going to be helping them decorate, or know what they like, then go ahead and buy them a new addition to their home decor.
You should also have a general idea if they need some new appliances, or silverware, or whatever. Buying anyone a gift that is practical and useful is not only nice and thoughtful, but takes the burden off of the homeowners to buy that product.
Formal gifts for your friends are always nice. Fancy china, crystal vases or frames, make excellent presents. Depending on your budget, you can definitely find very elegant gifts that would look nice in any home.
As for a funny gift, only you can really know what is appropriate to give. What is funny to one person, may not be funny to another. If you are wanting to give a gift that illicits a laugh, why not also give them something practical or decorative in addition to the funny one. That way they not only get a laugh, but get something they can use.
Whatever gift you decide to give your friends, gifts from the heart are always the best and most cherished. Buying a new home is a big change, and your gift should only make it better.Labels: house warming ideas, housewarming gifts

June 8, 2008 is Best Friend day

The origins of Best Friend's Day seem a bit murky. Some people feel it is a day to celebrate the four legged best friends in our lives, to reflect on how they came to be with us and to celebrate how wonderful life is with our furry friends. The other side of that coin is the more tradition best friend, the person who has been the shoulder to cry on and the ear that listens to us day or night. A best friend is someone who will stop by out of the blue with a pound of chocolate or a bottle of wine and an expression on their face which says simply - "What can I do?" June 8, 2008 is Best Friend day. A day to celebrate the close friendships we all have and value so greatly. A simple phone call to say, "I am thinking about you and do you remember when?" or a quick note to say, "It has been too long since we last got together, let's change that soon." Practically joined at the hip with the person who bears the title of best friend, then take an extra moment to remind that person just how special they are. Anything from an extra smile or a bonus compliment up to and including a neatly wrapped and totally unexpected gift would be a great way to celebrate a day which celebrates the friendships which mean so much. Have you ever wondered where some of the well-known holidays (besides Christmas and Thanksgiving) have originated from? I know I have, and I'm here to help! Father's Day is one of those holiday's that you merely celebrate but have no idea how it started.
Brief History: Father's Day is a holiday that is meant for children to honor their father's. In Spokane, Washington a woman by the name of Sonora Smart Dodd was listening to a sermon about Mother's Day and wondered why there was not a day to celebrate fathers. Having been raised by her father since her mother's death, Miss Dodd decided she would hold a day to celebrate her father's impact in her life.
Since her father was born in June, she chose to hold the first ever Father's Day celebration on June 19th, 2010. In New York City a national committee for Father's Day was formed in 1923. It wasn't until Nixon came to office that he made it a day of national observance in 1972.
So Father's Day came to be, from a girl who believed her father deserved recognition for all his hard work and love he had given her and her siblings over the years.
Fun fact:
- Roses are the official flower of Father's Day. Red roses for those father's who are still living, white for those who have passed.
So be sure to spoil your dad on Father's Day. If you have been blessed to have your father in your life, then let him know how much you truly care about him. Spend some time with him and give him a gift he can cherish forever. Because a father is forever, and he deserves to be honored!Labels: Father's Day, father's day gift ideas, gifts for him
