Father's Day 2007 is rapidly approaching. Are you ready for this joyous day of celebrating?
First, did you buy dad a nice gift? Don't buy him the same old gift that you get him every year. Try to be more creative.
Think about some of his favorite hobbies or the hobbies he would partake in if he had more time. Maybe if you present him with a new rod or reel, season tickets for his favorite baseball team, tickets for his favorite singer or even tickets to a vacation get away, he would make the time to enjoy some of the activities he loves? If you could also manage to attend this event, vacation or time with him, he would enjoy it even more.
Don't forget to wrap the present up nicely. Nice boxes and bows always give gifts a more festive look. Now that you have the gift all planned and wrapped, it is time to start on planning the events of the day.
If you are lucky enough to be able to spend the entire day with your dad, how about a quiet lunch with just the two of you. You can catch up and tell each other about your lives.
Then plan the evening for a celebration with the entire family. Be sure to take lots of pictures of your dad with all of the family. You may even want to pass out disposable cameras to allow everyone to get in on the picture taking. Then ask them to share the best pictures they capture that night. Sometime during that night, present your dad with your gift and hopefully watch him smile.
Before the day is over and you are back to the responsibilities of your life, be sure to tell your dad that you love him and how happy you are that he is your father. Then this will be a Father's Day of 2007 you both will always remember.
